Data we process

KomaLingo processes only comic images or a visible screenshot region that you explicitly request to translate. Chapter mode sends up to 60 ordered images and its task can continue after the extension popup closes. Scroll mode sends consecutive batches of up to five images near your reading position until you stop or change chapter. Choosing Translate/retry this comic page from an image context menu sends only that selected image. We also process your Google account email and identifier, opaque session tokens, quota, subscription status and minimal operational events needed to provide the service.

Purpose and service providers

Requested images are sent over HTTPS to KomaLingo. Google Cloud Vision processes them for OCR. Google Gemini processes the ordered OCR transcript, region identifiers, region types and layout limits for a full chapter, current five-image batch or single retry image; interaction storage is disabled. Context is not retained between scroll batches or individual retries. Azure Translator and Google Cloud Translation may process recognized text as fallback providers. Lemon Squeezy processes subscriptions and payments as Merchant of Record.

Retention

Source and result images, OCR transcript, temporary glossary and layout geometry expire within 24 hours. Identifying job metadata is anonymized after 30 days. Billing and accounting records may be retained when legally required. KomaLingo does not sell personal data, collect browsing history, use submitted content for advertising or allow unrelated human review.

Your choices

You can stop a background or scroll translation, switch back to source images, sign out or delete your account in the extension. Account deletion revokes sessions and removes temporary files and product data tied to the account, except records that must be retained for billing or legal compliance.
